THE SILICON MOUNTAIN CONFERENCE 2017
This year’s edition of Silicon Mountain Conference takes place at Chariot Hotel Complex on the 18th of November, 2017 with the theme, “Building Scalable and Profitable Ventures”
Silicon Mountain Conference (SMConf ) is the flagship conference of Buea’s technological community which attracts creatives, programmers and community organizers from Cameroon to the Mount Fako area. It is a day of code labs, workshops and sessions of inspiration and fun. The event will have interesting keynotes from Africa’s digital leaders and entrepreneurs.
After the keynotes, there will be inspirational workshop sessions and presentations on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) – related topics, Design and Community Management.
Startups and companies will present their products and services at the booths to attendees. The conference will close with a two-hour networking session where key startup founders and community managers will liaise with corporate guests, business executives and government officials.
ABOUT THIS YEAR’S THEME
The tech community has been built on sound engineering culture rather than sales/marketing. This year’s theme will enable participants to reflect and discuss about what seems to be the most worrying concern for startups and businesses within Silicon Mountain. ” Building Profitable and Scalable Ventures”
Members of the community agree that the community has attained some degree of maturity. It is time to discuss ideas on how to drive adoption, close better deals, influence policies and attract venture capital to scale beyond our immediate local markets.
