Hello people..Introducing, The Ratu International Festival: Fashion, Movie and Music which takes places this October in Douala.

The RATU team is excited to announce the launch of Ratu International Festival (RATU-IFMM) which will take place in Douala at Maison Du Parti Bonanjo.
It will be international Festival aimed at showcasing Cameroonian fashion, movies and
music.

This concept was conceived by Ratu Erma OLIERHOEK and will offer a platform for young and emerging talented Cameroonians to showcase their innovative ideas through
Fashion, Music and Movies.

This first edition of the Ratu Festival has attracted both national and international
personalities who are keen on exploiting such creativity. One of the goals is to create
opportunities for networking and to be known beyond the national territory.

The program is scheduled from the 29th to the 31st of October 2015, at various
locations with the main activities at the Maison Du Parti Bonanjo. The Ratu Festival will leave
a lasting impression in the Cameroon entertainment industry, making a difference and
creating a balance.

Looking at the huge talent within the fashion and entertainment industry in Cameroon, it is
definite that the Festival will educate, promote and celebrate Fashion, Music and Movies.

For an effective event, there are three core activities to ensure a fair and consistent selection:
– Competitions to promote young designers, movie producers and musicians,
– Workshop to educate young designers, movie producers and musicians
– Exhibitions , concerts and gala to celebrate with both national and international guests

Participants in all categories are expected to submit their materials to the team via designated
channels such as the website, the Facebook page and others to be announced.

The selection
criteria will ensure that participants are fairly evaluated and rewarded as merit.
The members of the jury are high profiled professionals with more than 50 years of combined
experience at both international and national levels in the fashion and entertainment
industries.

Upon submission, the jury, will pre-select 10 designers to be featured on the catwalk, with an
opportunity to showcase their designs. There will be a movie screening of three selected
movies, which will be screen and evaluated with ratings. In the music category, 9 musicians
are expected to participate in the overall contest.

The guests’ dynamics of the Ratu festival will come from international Royal Families, top Government officials, Company Directors, high profile celebrities and many others.
