Cameroonian Economist, Celestin Monga has been appointed as the new Vice President of the African Development Bank(AfDB)…
The African Development Bank (AfDB) announced on 10th July 2016, the appointment of Cameroonian economist Célestin Monga, to the position of Vice President in charge of the economic governance and knowledge management in this Pan African financial institution. Mr Monga was until now, and this since end 2014, Deputy Managing Director of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).

Biography
Mr. Celestin Monga has been Managing Director at The United Nations Industrial Development Organization since November 2014. Mr. Monga is a an internationally recognized economist. He serves as Director of the Oxford University Press Handbook of Africa and economics. He began his career as a senior executive with Banque Nationale de Paris group. Mr. Monga has held various Board and senior executive positions in academia, financial services and international development.
