EVENT SPOTLIGHT: THE SIPEC MAGAZINE LAUNCH
Hello people…It’s another event to spotlight. Things are happening in Camer and it is great to see such laudable initiatives and ventures.
SIPEC – Sherai’s Initiative for Promoting Entrepreneurs in Cameroon launched the first edition of its magazine, The Sipec Magazine, on Saturday February 21, 2015 at the Star Land Hotel in Bonapriso – Douala.
This event was attended by about 100 people, mainly entrepreneurs, sponsors and business professionals.
SIPEC was created in late half of 2013. Its objectives have been to take entrepreneurs from humble beginnings and create household names out of them, propelling them to success by equipping them with success tools and connecting them with the right stakeholders to ensure their success.
Since its inception, SIPEC has organized networking events that have served to connect entrepreneurs with prospective clients. SIPEC is currently developing several new initiatives to promote entrepreneurship. For 2015, SIPEC has decided to go an extra mile to meet one of the most pressing needs of entrepreneurs, “access to capital”. “Lack of capital is a complaint we have heard one too many times” Etonde Martin, founder of SIPEC says. In partnership with venture capitalists and lending houses like OVAMBA, SIPEC is working to provide solutions to the financial needs of Cameroon’s Entrepreneurs.The recently launched SIPEC Magazine, another 2015 initiative, is poised to contribute to the boosting of entrepreneurship in Cameroon and also its sponsors. This magazine is a fountain of information giving its readers an insight into the economic heartbeat of Cameroon. For those who want to register a business, know what sectors are lucrative, what the banks are saying about business loans, what investment opportunities are available, what to know prior to moving back to Cameroon to ensure a seamless transition and so on, you definitely want to subscribe to the SIPEC magazine.
The magazine will be available quarterly and will be sold through preferred vendors. The first issue is currently on sale and can be purchased for the price of 2000FCA per magazine. While organizing corporate events, prepare a team who is familiar with the venue, business as well as company so that they can attend the guests. Give prior training to the team in such a way that they reflect the best of hospitality.
